Jim’s Country Jam @ Waterloo Ice House (07/17/2011)

What words can we use to describe the twice-a-month country jam at Waterloo Ice House?  Pretty sure we’ve already used wonderful, entertaining, astounding, talented, fun, excellent, surprising, and several others.  So, this time, all we’re gonna say is, “Ya shoulda been there!”.  If you weren’t there, then all we can say is, “Ya missed a heck of a show and need to be at the next one!”. 🙂

Jim Stringer @ Giddy Ups (06/02/2011)

It was another fun night when Jim Stringer and his AM Band took to the stage at Giddy Ups. That’s always to be expected, but there was added “fun” this time.  First was special guest, Walt Lewis.  We hadn’t heard Walt before although he’s no stranger to the Austin music scene…just hasn’t been playing much lately.  Then, there were some special fans in the audience.  There were two hearing impaired ladies.  Their friends stood in front of the band and signed the songs to them.  THAT was fun and interesting. Sweet sweet people!  You just never know who will show up or what will happen when Jim and the guys play! 🙂

There are only so many words to describe the fun everyone has when Jim and the guys take to the stage.  So, we’ve given up trying to find new ones. 🙂  Whether it’s “Bobby Time, Bobby Time, Bobby Time” (a minimum of three songs made popular by someone named Bobby), music trivia, guests, original songs or covers, stories, or just plain good music, Jim and the guys entertain everyone, every time.  They must do it for the love of what they’re doing because they give a full out show whether they’re playing to 10 or 10,000.
